Our Story - PACIFIC PINES FAMILY VET CLINIC
Our owners Stefan (Vet) and his wife Michelle are from the European country of Romania, where 'family' has a very strong foundation. Hence the surgeries name “PACIFIC PINES FAMILY VET”
Upon graduation from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest, Stefan, emigrated to Australia, and then completed 5 years of voluntary veterinary nursing with The Lort Smith Animal Hospital and around 20 other veterinary clinics in Melbourne.
Since the only veterinary university taking mature aged students in was the University of Queensland St Lucia campus in Brisbane. The Dean of Veterinary School offered Stefan a place to undertake his 2nd degree in the Bachelor of Veterinary science. Since the year 2002 he has worked as a qualified Veterinary Surgery on the Gold Coast.
Shortly after, Stefan and his wife set up a purpose-built veterinary surgery in Pacific Pines, Gaven where they provide services to clients and pets in Pacific Pines, Gaven, Helensvale, Oxenford and local surroundings. The clinic is well seen and appreciated by the community and many clients travel a long distance to receive 'extra special' service they can't get anywhere else. The clinic also employs a very kind nurse 'Fran' of whom the team is proud and lucky to have.
We have a personal approach to parents and their pets. We consider pets as part of the family and tailor treatments such that they live longer with their family. Pets live a short life and they really live it on our love. We believe no effort must be spared in order to have them with us longer. Our motto is “WHERE EVERYONE RUBBS NOSES” and this is what Stefan does first...rub noses with any animal brought in, small or large. His nose has been spared so far, probably because he comes in peace.
